In 2006, in an article published in the "Journal of Latinos and Education, V6, 55-70”, teachers reported that mastery learning gives the students a better sense of belonging and therefore increases their academic achievements. Our program concentrates on mastery level achievement. This means that each skill is taught and assessed based on the ability of the student to understand and show evidence of scoring 80% or above on skill assessments. Skill analysis of reading in 50 elementary-school students, selected randomly from across the U.S. gave the following results:

We have an overall average of 97% satisfaction from the parents who have enrolled their student in the program. 87% of the parents stated that their student’s grade in the subject area increased at least one grade and that they noticed a change in attitude toward the tutored subject. The parents and students can request for a change in tutor and the request is entertained promptly. Presently we can boast of 98% student attendance.
In our program we have included the findings of the “National Reading Panel” and “National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (2000-2004)”
Our tutoring program, conducts pre and post assessment tests to be able to compare and pinpoint exact students’ achievements. For this purpose we use Diagnostic Online Reading Assessment (DORA) and Diagnostic Online Math Assessment (DOMA) for reading and math respectively. It is a quick, accurate, research-based assessment that helps us to target instruction for student success. The assessment tests are given at the beginning and end of tutoring to measure the effectiveness of the instruction. The achievement results of the individual students tutored from various
